Alright everybody, welcome back in to Mining Stock Daily. Listen, the one thing I've always loved about the mining and exploration sector is that I'm a continuous student of this industry. There's always something I need to learn or is thrown out in front of me that I just do not know or I've never seen before. And even after 10 years, it still surprises me when that hits.

But last week we got news from Meridian Mining announcing Blister Copper smelter returns from the Cabaçal project. I don't know what Blister Copper is. So we got to hammer this down here with CEO Gilbert Clark once again. Gilbert, what the is Blister Copper? Talk to me like I'm five.

Well, hi Drev, good to be on the show as always and happy to continue to be part of it. I think before we say what it is, you've got to ask yourself why do you do it? And that's your first question to the investor. Why did you do this?

Well, I would say 99.99% of the junior market retail in some of the institutional guys have never seen a PR like this. And the reason you do it is everyone's got a copper mine. And as I've said many times across the years, if you don't have good metallurgy, you don't have good cash flow. Just doesn't work.

And one of the key things with any copper concentrate, copper sulfide concentrate is when it goes to the smelter, if it's got impurities, you're going to get a discounted price. Just dirty copper concentrates, you're going to get smashed. They're going to make deductibles. They're going to say, well, this is going to hurt the internal kiln bricks of the smelter.
