In this episode, we'll be talking about the current market for robotics, software for bots, robots as a service, virtual training with digital twin technology, the value prop for humanoids, and what the future is likely to look like for physical AI.

Now to The Week In Venture, and first, the AI Bubble Watch. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang first conceptualized the AI ecosystem as a five-layer cake, and now the battle to control the AI cake is becoming one of the most intense corporate competitions ever. The layers of the cake can be described as follows.

The foundation of the entire stack is the energy and real estate layer that depends on plenty of electricity and plenty of space. The next layer up is the compute and hardware layer. This is the silicon that runs the calculations and accounts for the vast majority of CapEx. The third layer is the cloud and platform layer.

This is the software and virtualization layer that allows developers to rent compute, spin up clusters, and manage GPU time slicing. The fourth layer is the AI model layer. This is the large language and reasoning models that serve as the brains of the AI ecosystem. The final layer is the application layer, the top of the cake,
