Well, welcome everybody to Good Medicine Podcast. I'm your host, Dr. David Bears, and I'm here with my sidekick in the podcast, my brother. Oh, I lost trustee. Yeah, that's right. Oh, he's not trustee anymore. He used to be my trustee sidekick, but my brother, Dr. Jeremiah Bears. We're excited to be back here today. And, you know, we try to think a lot about the latest and greatest medicines that are out there and what the new things that are happening in the world of medicine.

And it's our life. It's what we spend, you know, our career and our, in my case, I spend most of my free time, actually, even spending reading scientific articles and trying to understand things. For years, we've been interested in the idea of, of kind of generally a concept that we call gene therapy. And, and that's been kind of, unfortunately, I guess we're in the middle of the World Cup right now.

Soccer has always been the next great, the great sport for the United States, but it's never quite got there. And gene therapy kind of feels the same way that it's, it's the next great thing that's going to be, it's going to take over everything. It's just not quite got there, but we're getting closer. Yeah. I mean, it's been one of these things we've talked about since the eighties. I mean, it's a long, long time. It's funny when Jurassic Park, the book came out. I mean, that was kind of, they introduced a lot of people to gene therapy in that book
