I'm James Hunt and we'll talk about that on Texas Ag Today. We have an update on the Farm Bill and the DOJ continues to investigate high input costs for farmers. We're going to take a ride around the Lone Star State as we cover the most important industry in this greatest state in the nation, Texas agriculture. Be sure to hold on tight because it all starts right now. The New World screw worm is now only 90 miles from the Texas border.

As it continues to move closer, producer education is vital to spotting it and stomping it, according to Colin Woodall with the National Cattlemen's Beef Association. You know, this is all about preparedness and I think one of the things that NCBA has done, along with our friends here at the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association, is education because that really is key. What do you need to look for? What does the fly look like? What do the larvae look like? What do these wounds look like? That is key because if you know what to look like, you're going to be prepared when it arrives.

And it's also a matter of making sure everybody knows the life cycle, very quick life cycle of this fly and its larva. So if you go out on a Tuesday and you don't have a problem, that doesn't necessarily mean you're not going to have a problem on Wednesday. And so making sure everybody is aware that you're going to spend a lot of time out among your cattle. And that's going to be how we stay ahead of this. We've got a lot of products that have been approved. We have some emergency use approvals out there. We can ...
