Here to dive into industry trends with leading ETF experts, this is ETF Spotlight with Nina Mishra. Hello and welcome to ETF Spotlight. I'm your host Neena Mishra. My guest today is Maurits Pot, CEO of Temma ETFs.

And we are talking about the Temma Space Innovators ETF, ticker symbol NASA, which has become the hottest space ETF because it provides exposure to SpaceX. We are an SPV, a special purpose vehicle, and currently this is the only space ETF which has direct exposure to SpaceX.

The ETF is less than two months old and has already gathered about $1.7 billion in assets. And also it is up about 75%. So it's just amazing. We'll also talk about some other very interesting Temma ETFs. Maurits, welcome. Thank you so much for joining the show. Maurits Pot, Thank you for having me today and I look forward to the discussion. So to start off, tell us why the space economy matters to investors.

That's a great question. So Durant, the space economy is still very early. And if you look at the S1 from SpaceX, they estimate that the space economy could be a $28 trillion economy by 2035. To put that in a context that's almost as big or if not as big as the US economy. I think there's obviously a lot of questions or debates around, is that the actual number? When will we get there?

What's clear is the space economy is going to be an integral part of the future economy, whether it's $5, $10, $20, or $28 trillion economy. So, but we're still very early in that journey. In that journey, we have one company that's really been a very early but very dominant innovator in that space, which is obviously SpaceX, which is today the largest value creator, but also the largest revenue generator in the space economy.

So the space economy, we think will become a meaningful part of GDP over time. And therefore, we believe it's something that investors will want to have access to. But it's still early stage. And as of any early stage or investment innovation is risk. So thinking about how you navigate both the opportunity, but the inevitable risk, that's where our active process and active experience comes in. Great points. Now let's talk about the exposure to SpaceX and the SPV.

And in full disclosure, I have been a little skeptical about funds that use SPVs, and particularly closed-end funds like DXYZ and BCX that trade at, you know, insane premiums to the NAVs. But I completely understand why investors want early exposure to SpaceX and the popularity of ETF clearly shows that demand is there.

So I should add that for investors who really want exposure to SpaceX before its IPO, I would generally recommend ETFs rather than closed-end funds, which I mentioned trade at insane premiums, may trade at insane premiums to their NAVs.

And also among the ETFs, using the SPV structure, I think you have done a very good job disclosing certain important details compared with the other ETF which uses SpaceX SPV. So I...
