Welcome to FreightWaves Today. It is Wednesday. It's the most important day of the week. It's the time that we get the American Association of Rail Report. The reason that this is so important, Julie, is that it tells us about the industrial economy. It's the best sort of indicator of how industrial activity is. We got the LMI, and we'll talk about that on my sonar update. The LMI is an indicator. It's a survey that goes out to hundreds of shippers on how they're feeling about the overall market.

So many indicators. Lots of stress in shippers right now. Yes, I'm excited to talk about the LMI. We'll talk about it in the sonar update, and then Zach Strickland and Zach Rogers will really dig into it tomorrow on the second half of the show as well. And Zach Rogers is one of the authors. He's with Colorado State University, right? Yes, I believe he's Colorado State. UC Boulder, Colorado State. Colorado State, yeah.

So he's with Colorado State, and he will be here to tell us about their data. He's one of the four university professors that helped assemble that index. So lots of broader economic activity, and we actually have a real special day because we have the CEO of the American Association of Railroads on today to talk about what their mission is to help ensure the freight economy on the rail side, really advocate for them.

But also they publish what I consider one of the most important indicators. We, again, we cover it every Wednesday, which is the AAR report. So we'll hear from their CEO. We also have the co-founder and CEO of Fort Warren, who's going to dive into this whole topic of legal, the whole legal realm.
