The Brand Called You

Hey, Stefan Hengesbach Hengesbach. Thank you for coming in. I'm CEO of QuiX Quantum, a European deep tech company building photonic quantum computing systems based on integrated photonics. That's really interesting. And, you know, you've got this major sort of background engineering in the photonic optical area as well, and you're bringing all of that to lead this effort.

And you say the world's first universal photonic quantum computer, but maybe others like PsiQuantum, which are building two factories, when in Brisbane, I think in Chicago, where you say, hey, where are we in that claim? And we'll talk about that, things like that. And we have Xanadu here in Canada as well, and I'm Canadian. So I'll be interested. So we'll get into that. But, you know, you have a tremendous background that you're bringing into this interview.

So thank you for coming in. Thank you for having me. So, Stefan Hengesbach, you know, one of the questions I always ask is what were the inflection points in your life that made you move hard today? But I'm looking early. So some people will say, well, it's when I got my PhD to Harvard or something like that. And I said, no, you've got to start earlier. Is that what shaped you? And then they'll say, well, at five years old, this happened and that really shaped my way.

And then my uncle gave me a computer and that really, you know, launch my journey. But it could be challenges too, you know? So give me three inflection points in your life that made this wonderful person a career that you have today. And it could have been when you were three or five years old, inside, outside the family, inside, outside of school.
