Welcome to the Economic War Room. I'm Kevin Freeman, and today the Fed is under new management. What does it mean for the dollar, for inflation, for your portfolio, and for the long economic war we're in? Because the man in that chair matters enormously. But as you'll see, he's not a magician. Stay with me. Let's start with the basics. Who is Kevin Warsh? He was confirmed on May 13, 2026 by a vote of 54 to 45.

That's the narrowest confirmation of a Fed chair in American history. He was sworn in at the White House by Justice Clarence Thomas, the first Fed chair sworn in at the White House since Alan Greenspan in 1987. Symbolism matters, and that symbolism was deliberate. Warsh is not a newcomer. Back in 2006, at just 35, he became the youngest person ever appointed to the Fed Board of Governors.

He set beside Ben Barnanke through the 2008 financial crisis. Bear Stearns, Lehman, the AIG bailout as the Fed's liaison to Wall Street. So the man now in charge personally lived through the exact 2008 events we've documented on this program. It's not a coincidence that I take lightly. And here's what should give sound money believers hope. In 2010, Warsh broke with Barnanke and opposed QE2, the plan to buy $600 billion in treasuries.
