Hopefully, the audience gets some knowledge for their existing profession or just their life in general. John Tesh style. So today we're going to talk about this Intermodals big summer.

We've mentioned J.B. Hunt earnings in the past, obviously outperforming a lot of expectations, largely on the heels of intermodal growth. But also we just had some more earnings with Knight Swift. The truckload market continues to show some signs of strength as the market appears to be full on into another cycle and it is an inflationary cycle for rates. So we'll break into that. And then, of course, I'm going to have Stuart Charles on here in a few minutes to break down what's going on with intermodal and rail.

We had a lot of big rail stories come out today. You just heard Craig and Julie talk about it on FreightWaves Today earlier today. And it's going to be an ongoing drama, I think, with the STB and whether or not this merger gets pushed through. I think today was a pretty big step in that front. So without further ado, let's give you your market update in two using data to describe it. So in three, two, one, we're off and running with the STRI.

Sonar truckload rejection index. It measures the total rate of rejection from carrier to shipper. Carriers do not like to turn down freight. So when they turn down freight for their customers, it's a big signal. We are operating just below 16%.
