BREAKING: The Fed Just Made a SHOCKING Statement

All right, the FOMC decision will be announced in roughly 15 minutes from now. I am going to react live to it because there's a great deal of uncertainty about this meeting. Will Kevin Warsh send a message to the market, a message the market does not want to receive? In fact, the market is sending a message to the FOMC Warsh, the financial media, and everybody who does not realize the consensus, the overwhelming consensus in the marketplace is, as we'll see in just a minute, as we preview the Fed decision here.

So we've got a high degree of uncertainty because nobody's really sure what the FOMC is going to do. We know there are hawks on the committee that want to raise rates because they think inflation is a bigger risk, and we'll talk about the two different versions of the economy right now and what's driving each one. Plus, the market really not sure if Warsh will try to stamp his mark on the Federal Reserve to show that he's not Trump's lackey, to send a message to the world that they're taking inflation seriously after the Fed's election.

After the last meeting, the June meeting, which was Warsh's first, where they added that statement at the end and said, we will not tolerate inflation. So lots of uncertainty. In fact, unusual degree of uncertainty here. But before we get to the Fed decision, like I said, I'm going to react live to it. Let's get to the background. Let's talk about why there's so much uncertainty, why there's such a huge disagreement, what that huge disagreement is really about, and really the degree to which it's taken up here.
