This make or break hour starts with a pullback in stocks as China launches a new Power AI model.

We'll have more on that story coming up shortly. But in the meantime, here's the scorecard with 60 minutes to go in the trading week. You can see there the Dow Industrial is off about two-thirds of one percent. The S&P 500 off north of three-quarters of one percent at this point. And the tech-heavier Nasdaq Composite trade down by over a percent at 25,577 for the Composite Index. The semis, by the way, on track for their worst week since April of 2025. And that leads us up to our talk of the tape this hour.

Should you buy the pullback or is there still more pain to come? Let's ask CNBC contributor Tom Lee, the head of research over at Fundstrat Global Advisors. The chip trade, we've been calling it the epicenter, the tail wagging the dog of the markets, so to speak, for quite some time. But we did see a nice little run-up in the midday session for many of these volatile memory stock names.

How exactly do investors and traders reconcile the volatility versus what we could see as terms of long-term price appreciation for these particular types of stocks? Yeah, Tom, I know it's been a very volatile week. If people have been long those names the last couple of weeks, it's been a rough ride.
