And I'll talk with Crain's residential real estate reporter Dennis Rodkin about an innovative housing lottery in Elk Grove Village and why the city of Evanston has fined Northwestern for homes they own that are in disrepair. When I did the first story, people said, oh no, bad looking houses in Evanston, boo hoo.

Once again, it is our favorite time of the week. We get together with Dennis Rodkin, Crain's residential real estate reporter, to talk about Chicago area housing. And we have a story to revisit that we first talked about in the spring about Elk Grove Village and their home lottery. It's a really interesting thing. It was a chance for Elk Grove Village residents to essentially call dibs on the first new houses built in town. I should say the first subdivision. There have been individual homes. The first subdivision built in town in the 21st century.
