Hey everybody, I'm Zach. And I'm Jesse. You're watching Tesla Time News, episode 611 on Now You Know. So Elon reposted Tesla North America, Tesla Insurance Update with the latest version of Safety

Score Version 3. Every mile you drive with FSD supervised enabled will receive a score of 100. This allows you to maintain a higher average safety score over time, resulting in lower monthly insurance premiums, applies to new policies in Indiana, Tennessee, Texas, Arizona, Virginia, and Illinois. So, I mean, who cares? This doesn't really feel like a change since the FSD miles were never counted against you. So why does giving them a hundred score make a difference? Well, you've driven what percentage in FSD? Like 99%. And the times you've driven manually, did you ever slam on the brakes?

Yeah, maybe once or twice. Whoa! That's the end of your safety score, buddy. What are you talking about? You'd probably have like a 20 safety score before this change. What? But the rest of the time I was in FSD. Right. But it wasn't being counted in your average. Oh, so if I had driven manually for one mile a month, my safety score would have only been based on that one mile? Even if you had gone 2,000 miles in FSD. I can't believe that was the system. Yeah. I mean, lots of people have been complaining about it.

People using FSD were getting really low safety scores and paying really high insurance premiums. Is that why Tesla changed it? Maybe, but I think some credit should go to Lemonade, that insurance company that lets you pay half for the insurance of every mile of FSD. Oh, I see. So like a little competition here is a good thing. Well, and you don't have to be goodwill hunting to see that the math wasn't mathing. Do you know how easy this is for me? Do you have any idea how easy this is? This is a joke. So Tesla filed for a patent back in October that was just published by the WIPO. It's for

a robotic arm and joints. So this could be the tech that's going into Optimus 3. Could be. Elon just posted congrats to the Tesla AI chip design team on taping out AI5, AI6, Dojo 3 and other exciting chips in the works. Wait, so that's the chip? That is. He said, thank you to Taiwan Semi TSC and Samsung for your support in bringing this chip to production. It'll be one of the most produced AI chips ever, and they are going to be produced in the millions. Elon has said that Tesla is aiming for the highest volume AI chips

in the world by far. These chips will be going into their vehicles, Optimus, and even data centers. And just to give us some idea of how much better this chip is than AI4, eight times the raw compute, nine times the memory, five times the bandwidth, and up to 40 times better performance in Tesla optimized workloads. So what's the timeline on AI5? We should see engineering samples in like a small limited quantity lat...
