Welcome back to the Oncology Brothers Podcast. I'm Rohit Ghossain, alongside my brother and co-host Raval Ghossain. Today, we're excited to talk about the most recent FDA approval, Iberdomide, a Selmod, along with daratumumab and dexamethasone combination. This is approved for second line and beyond in multiple myeloma space. It's our honor to have the first author of the study, Dr. Sagar Lonial, a myeloma specialist from Emory University. Sagar, thanks so much for joining us. Dr. Sagar Lonial, Thank you for having me. This is always a fun thing to watch.

Dr. Sagar, welcome. And congratulations on the work of Excalibur study that led to the approval of Iberdomide. But you know, honestly, as a community medical oncologist, just to keep up with myeloma treatment in itself is starting to get very overwhelming because there's so much going on. But again, this is good news for our patients. We've covered treatment options here for multiple myeloma extensively, but just to reiterate. Up front, we're now using Quad Therapy, which ends up being

anti-CD38. And then we have our Bortezomib or Carfilizomib. This is all with dexamethasone and lenalidomide. Then a small number of our patients go to transplant. But after that initial induction and consolidation, patients are on maintenance therapy. At the time of relapse or refractory disease, our options here were CAR-T or teclistamab with deratomimab based off Majestic 3 study. And now we have a new class of drug here, Iberdomide, a Selmod.
