The city's budget director is leaving City Hall just days after the CFO's exit. And hundreds of apartments are now planned for NBC Tower amid a downtown conversion wave. I'll talk about it with Crain's commercial real estate reporter Danny Ecker. The opportunity here is by reinvesting in the mid-rise portion and turning it into apartments, they in theory are going to be restoring a lot more value to the building overall.

Great to be here. Thanks for having me. Of course. So tell me about what's in the works for NBC Tower. Yeah, so this tower, like many office buildings downtown, has suffered a few leasing setbacks over the past couple of years. There were some big tenants that moved out. As you probably can imagine, NBC Tower over there in Streeterville, you know, even obviously just a block or two from Michigan Avenue going toward the lake.
