[SPEAKER_00] Let's bring in Kevin Green, senior markets correspondent right away to help set up the action today. I'm excited about Friday, so I'm stumbling over my words a bit here, KG. All right, let's start out with broad strokes for the market. Ultimately, by the end of yesterday's session, we finished it to some degree pretty flat on a couple of the major indices. But just how would you characterize where things stand, broad strokes in the market and what you're looking at with yields?

[SPEAKER_01] Well, yesterday we did get that nice little bounce back after having a little bit more of a pullback in the morning. And we, for the most part, ended up flat for the S&P as well as the NASDAQ 100. And really what led the way was communication services. Once again, Meta had a really outperforming type of day here, and that's really where the flows are going. And then we did see a little bit of a rotation when it comes to the defensive sectors. Technically speaking, Diane, we did have this little bit of a pullback over the last month or so. We have officially kind of broken out of that bull flag pattern.

[SPEAKER_01] We had a little bit of a breakout. We came back, retested the previous area of resistance. And so now, from a technical standpoint, you're really trying to challenge going back to those recent highs to the upside here. Volatility broke down to around 15. At least that's what it is for this morning. And that's after we actually hit, for the most part, close to year-to-date lows earlier this week. So I think the market's still trying to buy these dips, even though yields are still moving higher.
