For today's show, our colleague Lonnie Iliff spoke with analysts from McKinsey. Philip Kampshoff and Moritz Rittschig spoke about the EV market and the stakes of range and charging anxiety.

If I have a lot more range, you know, then I'm probably less concerned about the chargers. If I see a lot of more chargers, then, you know, I'm less concerned about the range. But first, let's talk about the week. For that, we're joined by our colleague, Clara Martinez, who wrote about parent concerns over autonomous vehicles this week. Hi, Clara. Hi. So, Clara, how are parents feeling about their kids taking AVs?

Parents are actually leaning more into it now than they were in the past. They're still considering it a high-risk activity and as something that they're being more cautious of as compared to completely human-less activities such as a grocery pickup. But a nationwide survey revealed that parents are more likely to be comfortable with it because of the dangers of teen driving. What are they most concerned about? You know, they have some sort of comfort level. What's still on their minds as a concern?

Parents are still weighed down by the headlines about Waymo's kind of going into floodwaters, going past stop-school buses. And they're still pretty concerned about the whole safety aspect of what do they do if their kid is in a Waymo and has no idea how to respond to an emergency situation.
