With a Harvard degree in physics and a decade of experience in the finance industry, Matt first joined Roivant as CFO in 2016 before becoming CEO in 2021. Matt, welcome to the show. Thanks for having me. Great to have you. I want to start by talking about Roivant's strategy.

So Roivant has historically been known for its hub and spoke model, building value by spinning out subsidiary companies with in-licensed programs known as Vance that each operate like startups. And a number of these have been successfully acquired by bigger pharmas. But the company is now pivoting to become a more traditional development and commercialization company.

And you've got a near term commercial launch with bruprocytinib for dermatomyocytitis. And this is a big change. So I'm curious, like, can you talk a little bit about why pivot and why now? And walk us through the decision to pivot and what actually changed and how you're thinking about the business model. Thanks. And it's funny, you know, I you said the word pivot a few times in that call.

And it just makes me think I don't know that we internally conceive of any of this as a pivot. I think our our business, like many, has evolved. I'll say, look, you start out and I've been a Roivant for 10 years. Roivant's 12 years old as a company. So I missed the very beginning.
