Welcome back to Talking Benefits, the podcast where we break down the latest employee benefit trends and what they mean for employers. Today we're revisiting one of the most talked about topics in healthcare benefits, GLP-1 coverage for diabetes and weight loss. And if you've followed any news in the employer sponsored space, chances are you've heard a lot about these medications. The big question employers continue to wrestle with is whether to cover them for diabetes and weight loss, and if they do, how to make that coverage financially.

To help answer that question, we're discussing findings from a recent foundation survey of more than 300 U.S. employers and industry professionals. The results paint a fascinating picture of a market that's still very much in flux. So before we get started, just a couple quick additional data notes. This survey was conducted from June 2 to the 12th of this year and is focused primarily on folks from our corporate or single employer audience.

Starting off, despite all the attention around GLP-1 medications, most employers still cover them only for diabetes.
