The federal government loans American International Group, AIG, $85 billion. This is a different kind of market and the Fed is asleep. The federal government is stepping in to stabilize Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the two mortgage giants that have been threatened by the housing crisis. The Bank of England has pumped 75 billion pounds more into Britain's ailing economy with a new round of quantitative easing. You print a couple trillion dollars and all of a sudden people start to worry. So out of this worry, we have something called the Bitcoin. Welcome to On The Brink, I'm Matt Walsh. And I thought we'd be doing this one live in Jackson Hole, but we're not. We're not together anymore, but we were together all week for the SALT conference. Pretty good conference. It's one of the best, in my opinion. And it's one you've been to three times. I think that makes you the record attender of this conference. Me twice. But it's a very good formula. It is.
