Coming up, we'll talk about the commodity markets with Kurt Kimmel. We'll hear from Ben Brown, agricultural economist at the University of Missouri, and also about the opening of a new bridge between Windsor and Detroit next week on Monday.

It'll handle a lot of agricultural goods, and then we'll turn our attention to the weather forecast too. We'll do that with Mark Russo of EverStream Analytics on this Monday edition of the Closing Market Report from Illinois Public Media. Todd Gleason's services are made available to WILL by University of Illinois Extension. September corn for the day at $449.5, up $4.75. December, $5.5 higher at $4.73. March, $488.5, up $5.5.

August beans, up $0.21.5. $12.26 the settlement price. November at $12.26. Up $23.25. Bean meal, up $3.30. The bean oil, $0.13 lower. Weed futures soft red down $8.75 in the September. December, $8.25 lower. It settled at $6.91.5. The hard red December at $7.39. Down $7.75.

It looked like in the overnight trade that it was going to be a giddy-up, go fire horse, and kind of did for at least morning soybeans. Tell me about it. Boy, it did. It was right out of the chute. They called for a higher open, and that materialized. And we consolidated for a while, but stayed firmed. And during the day session, we kind of accelerated a little bit.
