Jahr of Our Lord 2026. My name is Tom Sullivan. And, uh, well, we've got, um, we'll get you up to date on the latest, uh, from the White House about Iran, because it, it has been changing. I know, I know there's no surprise there. Uh, but welcome back to, uh, Tariff Land, because the president went out on, uh, Liberation Day back in April of last year.

And did all the tariffs across the board made it. Nobody could figure out the calculation, but it, regardless, it went out over all these countries. Supreme Court said, you don't have the power to do that, but you do have the power for these temporary tariffs. And so we said, okay. And they put the temporary tariffs of 10% on a bunch of countries and that, uh, temporary expired today.

So tonight, uh, there's a whole new group of tariffs that are being assessed to a little bit more than 80 countries. And it's going to be either a 10% or a 12 and a half percent tariff. And I, uh, I don't know what the difference is.

Uh, the ones I know one's more than the other, but the president, uh, and his team have used every trick in the book. They've gone back to, there was a trade law that allowed for the infamous Smoot-Hawley tariff bill of 1930. Uh, and, and that when they looked, they thought for sure that had been repealed.
