This is Scott Becker with the Becker’s Healthcare Podcast. I'm thrilled today to be joined by one of our favorite regular guests. We're joined today by Alan Condon, who's an editor-in-chief of Beckers Healthcare. He spends a ton of time on the business and financial side of healthcare, reporting on how health systems are doing. I saw a fantastic article from him today, literally, about how Tenet remade itself into an ambulatory surgery center company from a hospital company to primarily the largest operator.

Surgery centers in the country, and he covers so many things so well. Alan, talk to us today about what are a couple of stories that you're following that you find interesting? Yeah, absolutely. I think I had it off the press after our annual meeting last week. I think fantastic events by all metrics. But since you just touched on it there, Scott, I guess kind of diving right into that Tenet story we just kind of covered this morning.

So, again, one huge, huge team that popped up for me, I imagine for you and a lot of our moderators and speakers at last week's event would have been just how much health systems are really accelerating their investment in ASCs, outpatient centers. No doubt this has been happening for quite some time, but it certainly seems like from now what I gather is a real acceleration towards investments in building these centers, acquiring some of these centers and whatnot.

And Tenet, obviously, by far and away, the real ASC dominant player, the leader in this space, for quite some time through its outpatient subsidiary, United Surgical Partners International.
