Artificial intelligence is a revolutionizing world in many ways, in many aspects of our lives. But in our field, it's one of the most exciting applications, particularly in this era of antimicrobial resistance when we are short of antibiotics. Artificial intelligence has come to the rescue to discover new antimicrobial molecules in the most unlikely places.

That involves the environment and even our own human bodies. Today is actually the episode number 50, our AAC versions of Editor in Conversation. So we're very happy with this. And to celebrate that, we are going to talk about artificial intelligence and antibiotic discovery. And I am going to have an expert whose name is also Cesar Arias.
