Good afternoon everybody, welcome to the TraderMerlin Show for your Wednesday afternoon edition, hump day and maybe a little bit of a turn here as Big Ebb says Micron is going to push things up tomorrow. It certainly would appear so, we were having a negative day on the S&P 500 and all of a sudden Micron comes out with earnings and boom has a big spike. So we'll look at that one here in just a minute. Of course I don't even have my materials ready for you. Wow, what's going on over here? Slacker Merlin today, not Trader Merlin, Slacker Merlin.

Alright, I'll start off with this and we'll go and look at Micron's earnings here in just a minute. But the show today, the title here as you see, S&P 7,800. Not my opinion, it was just something that was thrown out there by JP Morgan. Now, JP Morgan had a target of 7,600 that they gave earlier this year for the S&P 500. Today they upgraded that and said we believe it's going to hit 7,800. So I thought we'd take a peek at that and see what the feasibility is, the probability is, and what you guys think about it.

Now, I didn't have time to put together a survey for us, but we'll do it as we progress. Here is where we are looking as of right now to get to 7,800. But mind you, this is by year end. So let me just put this where it would graphically be by year end. So let's go 7,800 and let's go to December 31st. Boom. And that's close enough for government work. I don't think Elon Musk will bust. There we go. Exactly on.

Okay, so here's our chart right here of the S&P getting to 7,800. My gut would tell me under normal circumstances that might actually be a relatively conservative target for the S&P, particularly given the way it has been moving. So let me just scroll out here so we can see the trajectory of the S&P for the past, you know, quite some time. And, you know, looking at this, it certainly does seem like that is well within range.

If we were to put moving averages on here, let's put a simple moving average on and I'll make it a longer term moving average. Actually, what we should do, let me see if I can throw Bollinger Bands in there. That might actually be better because it'll put a moving average right in there. Nah, that won't do it anyway. I was thinking maybe Bollinger Bands could give us a better read. But, you know, based off of some of these longer term moving averages like a 200, let's make this a 200. There we go.

You see a much more clean line moving to the upside. And if I was to stretch that out, it does not seem like wild thought to think that it could be, you know, getting close to that 7800 mark. I kind of thinking along Ed's lines here that I think maybe they are being a little bit conservative here and thinking maybe it's 8000. Right. Might be higher than that. But that's the target by J.P. Morgan.

Now, what was interesting in that in the press release that J.P. Morgan gave out there is they cited some issues with AI...
